Chelsea skipper John Terry says that he and teammate Branislav Ivanovic were "double headlocked at every corner" in the Blues 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho's league leaders had looked on course for another victory as they entered injury-time with a 1-0 lead, thanks to Didier Drogba.

However Robin van Persie struck three minutes into injury-time to hand Louis van Gaal's side a share of the spoils.

That goal came after Ivanovic had been shown a red card by referee Phil Dowd, dismissed for two bookable offences.

But writing on his Instagram page, Terry says that it was the United defence and their tactics at set-pieces that should have been more harshly dealt with by the official.

"It shows how well we are playing when you come away from Old Trafford disappointed with 1 point" declared Terry.

"Thanks to all the travelling fans for your great support.
